At Aliante, we're creating a community that is built around you and your
family's needs. That includes assembling a mix of retail services - including
supermarkets, drugstores and restaurants- all close to home.
Fire station #56, was opened in April 2004, and is located within the
community off of Elkhorn Drive. The Aliante library, a new 15,900 sq. ft.
facility was opened in May 2006 and houses a reference, circulation, young
adult and a children's section with an outside patio for story times. The
library offers public access computers, adult and children's programming
and meeting rooms in addition to books, videos, DVDs, magazines and
newspapers.Land has also been designated for a future resort/hotel with gaming.
Station in conjunction with American Nevada Company will build and
manage the property, which will have about 200 hotel rooms and
2,000 slot machines. That’s the first phase of an expected multi-phase
project. Groundbreaking is planned for early 2007 with the casino opening
late 2008.
